escapism: (noun)

- The tendency to seek distraction and relief from unpleasant realities , especially by seeking entertainment or engaging in fantasy.

People use an airport for multiple reasons. It may be as a gateway to other lands, previously unknown. Or, as a hobby, with the activity of plane watching - recording the information of the great machinery that is another cog in the wheel of the planet's transport systems. Moving on from simple observation, the intention is to display a small aspect of the idea of escapism - using an airport to focus in on how people find a release from their daily routine.
